Community Feedback Needed!
We’ve been carefully listening to questions and suggestions from the public. Some of these include potential policy changes such as becoming a low-kill shelter, limiting the intake of certain breeds, and more.
Because we are a nonprofit, community-based organization, it’s important that your voice helps shape the future direction of the SEK Humane Society.
We’ve created a Public Survey to gather your feedback on these questions and provide a clearer pathway for the community’s vision moving forward. Scan the QR code to participate in this public survey!

Adoption applications are located on the animals bio page on the right hand side. Only one application can be submitted per person HOWEVER in the application there is a question tab where you can list the names of other animals you are interested in.
**The SEK Humane Society is currently near full capacity due to the high volume of owners relinquishing their animals. During high volume times, intakes may not be available due to the shelter being at full capacity. Intakes are by appointment only to help ensure health/safety standards are met. If the shelter cannot intake, please ask Management for information on other possible rescue facilities. **
