*CLOSED FOR QUARANTINE*
Our organization has received a large increase of sick and abandoned dogs from the SEK area these past few weeks. Sadly, two of these sweet dogs has PARVO and is now fighting for her life.
To make sure all animals including our communities are safe; we are shutting our shelter down for quarantine until December 4th. During this time period we will not be adopting out from our facility nor intaking as we concentrate on getting sick canines treated and to monitor our shelter's health.
This is one of the hardest battles a shelter has to fight as our mission is to take in animals of all breeds, ages, and conditions whether they are healthy or sick in need of help. We are the voice for the voiceless, even in the toughest of times.
We highly encourage our surrounding communities to get their dogs up to date on their vaccinations!! The SEK area and Oklahoma had a PARVO outbreak in the early Spring and we are praying that this is not another statewide outbreak.
